Keyboard will only type if I hold shift

Hello,

My keyboard will only type letters if the shift key is held down. If I turn caps lock on I can then hold down shift and type in lower case.

Press and hold down the right shift key unitl a message appears asking you if you want to turn on sticky keys. Reply no. Try to type now.

Thanks for the response. I did this and it asked if I wanted to turn on filter keys. I said no. I also checked and sticky keys and filter keys are both turned off. Still won't type unless shift is held down

Do you have an extended keyboard? The one with a ten key to the right hand side? If you do not have a ten key set, then press numlock and try to type.

You have to try with different keyboard and different connection. Eg the USB and try the old scart connection if you have.
