What about the space

I need to type stuff and I need space on my laptopand that on screen key board takes up space on my screen but some of the keys on my windows laptop dont work so what do I do should I just buy a new laptop?

Hello, in additional to what HelpiOS has said, make sure that the problem isn't physical - as in there isn't anything stuck underneath your keys physically preventing them from working.
