virus? Closed

Question

Hello,
 i try to go on the internet on my computer and it won't connect. my isp said I'm connected and could not help me.i have another computer in my house that works fine and goes on the inter net and the computer that dose not go on the internet at my house works fine at my uncles house. i allso have nortan and it dose not pick up on any virus.could something be blocking the ip address of my house on my computer?I'm not sure if it is a virus or not any one have any ideas.

try this:

>start
>run
type cmd and hit enter.
>type ipconfig /renew to renew the ip address and then try to access the net again.

I did what you said and i got the following message
an error occurred while renewing interface local area connection 2: unable to contact your DHCP server. request has timed out.
do you have any other ideas on what it could be?
