Hello,
I have Whatsapp installed on my Android phone and also Whatsapp installed on my Windows 11 64-bit PC.
When I try to "link Device" I am asked for my password; it refuses to accept my password.

I also tried to find the "Reset password" button but can not find it.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I was able to resolve the issue - I was using an OLD password.

Hi,

Normally, WhatsApp should ask you to confirm the password of your phone to be able to link a device.

No, Didn't happen! BYW I see you are "HelpiOS"; this is an Android phone; there are some differences between the 2 phones responses.

I DID enter the password to my phone but it rejects it. That password is used in multiple places on my phone with success so I don't think the password is invalid. I believe the password verification is at fault.

Also, this all happened after I installed an update to Whatsapp Beta on my PC.

Another curiosity: I get this message on my PC:
To set up Whatsapp on your computer
1. Open Whatsapp on your phone
2. Tape Menu or Settings and select Linked Devices
3. Join Multi-Device Beta
4. Tap Link a Device and point to your device to this screen to capture the code

After step 2 I am prompted for the password which it never accepts.
Also, I NEVER see step 3: Join Multi-Device Beta
