Get a percentage in microsoft excel

Hello,

I am trying to get 10% of a number in another cell. rather than doing it in my head, I was hoping someone would know the formula. If you do, could you please let me know,

if the number is in A1 in any other empty cell type this formula
=A1*10%

or =A1/100*(10)
also Format Cell to Percentage
