Instagram Reply function missing Closed

Question

Hello,

I noticed my friends are able to use the reply function and different emojis to react to my messages. I can see that they replied to a specific message.

BUT I can't do that. I hold on the message and all I get is "Copy / Report". My Instagram is on the latest update and i already tried reinstalling it. Is it phone model related? I'm using the iPhone XS if that's important.

1. Open Instagram. (On phone)

2. Tap on your account page, on the bottom right corner.

3. Within your page, tap on the three horizontal lines in the top, right corner.

4. Tap settings.

5. Tap “update messenger.” This will link to your Facebook account, if you want. I don’t know what it does if you don’t have a Facebook account.
