Hi,
Yes, it is possible that there was some media there, but due to the deletion of the messages, you cannot access them anymore.
However, you may retrieve the deleted messages by requesting your Facebook data, but I don't guarantee that it will succeed.
By the way, please take extra steps to secure your account as it was used by someone else.
