All Whattsapp media has disappeared from before February

Hello,

I have a Samsung S23 running Andriod 13. I've recently seen that all of the media from all of my groups has disappeared from the app from before around February this year. My guess is I did an update around then. 

All the media is still on my phone and showing in my gallery, but nothing on the app. I've tried looking for fixes but am coming up blank. I've tried backing up and restoring without success. 

Any help would be great.
