Unable to restore from Google drive

Hello,

When I un-install Whatsapp from my Android phone, then re-install it again - and this to restore my last full backup done on Google drive - I keep getting a screen displaying : Transfer chat history from old phone.

How can I prevent the mentioned screen from displaying, and this to go through the normal steps of restoring a backup from Google drive ?


Kindly advise.

Hi,

Check whether WhatsApp is uninstalled on your other devices. If you used WhatsApp on a different phone before, make sure the app is uninstalled.

After that, uninstall WhatsApp once again on your current phone, restart your phone and reinstall the app then.
