Hello,
ok,,,I am trying to install a new HD to my computer and the window OS CD will not read from my CD ROM at start up. I have tried the following:

changed my Bios setting order to 1. CD ROM 2. HD 3. Diskette
pulled the battery out of the motherboard for >15 sec to reset the default setting in the Bois

When windows is running It can read any CD that I put in it and play it however when I insert the Windows OS re instillation CD it will not even show that I CD is in the CD ROM (strange).

If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it!
Thanks

Hello there,

All you will have to do is to use another Windows Installation CD!
May be your's cannot be read!!

I have checked the CD and it is in perfect condition...no scratched...nothing at all. there should be no reason that it cannot be read.
thanks
