Halo wont load in my pc

Hello everyone, i have an acer extensa 4420, and i've installed halo lots of times, then had to delete it cause of low memory, but, when i wen't to install it today it wouldn't read the disk, and i put some of my other games in there and it picked it up, same for dvds and cds, i'de like to know if i need a new driver? or is it just a codec that got deleted?
