Sims 2 installation help

Hello,

Everytime I enter the sims 2 double deluxe my computer doesn't read it. I try manually clicking on the cd drive and after a couple of seconds to look it says "please insert a disk into drive D:" even though the cd is in there. It's not the drive either because other cds work in it. I tried all the different installing the game options including disabling backround tasks, nothing works. I think my computer meets the game system requirements that i found online but I'm not really sure how to check and find out.
