Can't connect through internet lynksys

Hello,
im really mad about one thing i cant connect through lynksys since july 1 2009. firstable where i live in maryland rockville (northeast) it was raining but they weren't thunder and i was on my computer then suddendly the lights go off all around the houses and then i waited for 1 hour to get back it did. after 10 : 37 pm i was trying to connect through lynksys but i couldn't. now my laptop says get in arrange with lynksys and the network is hidden thats what pops up on a message i try my really best to fix this but i can't its frustating please help me i have hp laptop windows vista home premium now my question is how can i fix this problem??? help me how i can connect through lunksys since 1 week and half haven't connect though lynksys !!! =/
