Hello,
Where do I go to reinstall windows xp? My screen is black after logging in. Will reinstalling windows xp delete all my other files? I could not do a system restore because it was never turn on, so there is nothing saved before I had to problem. Please help me. Yes I did have a virus.

Dear Sir,

If you want to Install Windows XP as u were using Vista... You will have to change the sata mode in your bios!

Just change to IDE

Im sorry its a window vista home premium. Dell dimension E521 Desktop. Im a dummy when it come to computers, so what you just said really confuse me. My screen goes black after logging in. I tried doing a system restore in safemode but I dont have anything saved to restore back to my last good setting. I have my window vista and utilities disk. I know when I boot up I need to hit f12 for boot menu. Thats where I get stuck. What do I do after that to reinstall vista. I dont know what to do please help
