Hello,
I have done something foolish and now need help. I have bought a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile v5535 laptop. This laptop was sold to me at a reduced price because it had been returned to the shop as faulty. Now i own a laptop that i cant get into! The previous owner has a password set up (clue Spartan Film!!!). I want to know how i can get into the computer or if i reformat the hard drive will i lose Windows Vista that is on it? And how do you reformat the hard drive? Help, please!

hi,

contact the shop from where you bought the laptop, they should remove the passsword for you.

formatting the computer will wipe off everything that the hard drive contains, including windows.

to reinstall the windows, you will need to buy the installation CD from a Microsoft dealer.

then you will be able to install the OS.

Here is an overview of your situation-

https://petri.com/forgot_administrator_password

Easiest cure requires access to a computer with CD burner. Follow these instructions. This process is what many repair shops use on locked computers-

After you burn the disk, insert in locked computer CD drive and reboot. Follow the slightly scary-looking but easily folowed instructions and, if you did it right, you will be logging on after another reboot. Didn't work? Do it again more carefully and you will eventually find joy :)
