TOSHIBA LAPTOP NO SOUND

Hello,
Pls help! I have recently reinstalled windows(xp) and i have no sound. Pls can you help, I don't know what to do.I tried to download a sound server, no luck. I have a Toshiba Satelite A30-514 laptop.
