I have a laptop and i need to set it up, but i only have a wire router and not a wireless one, can someone help me

Connect laptop to the router with a wire then?

Or connect to somebody else's wireless access point

do i got to get a wireless router? because i have the wire router and i can't get a acces point so what u think.
Can u LMK op i got to buy one or not.
