Monitor blank after start up

Hello,

I woke up yesterday morning to find my computer turning on, showing the E logo for emachine screen, then going to the black screen with white text asking me which mode I would like to start up in IE: Safe mode, safe mode with something, normally and such. I have tried all of them, and the same thing happens every time.

My monitor goes black, and the green monitor light turns orange. The numlock nor the caplocks key will light up, so I am assuming that its the computer, and maybe its freezing or something?

Please help!

Windows maybe be corrupted, a reformatting should be good
