Voice on gmail

Hello,
i bought a webcam for my grandson we loaded to his computer, i have a built in cam and mic. When i bring up video chat we can see each other and I can hear him but he cannot hear me. I went into chat settings and test my mic and video and audio and all looks good.

hi,

go to control panel > sounds abd audio devices.

click on advanced and then increase the microphone level.

this should fix the problem.
