New monitor- no sound

Hello,
New monitor- No sound!

ati 791A on XP Home system..

My new HP LP2474w monitor has affected my sound/ speaker system. (Ran fine until I put in this new monitor yesterday-)

Tried removing and then re-installing speaker hardware which works for 2 minutes, then I just get humming.

Also tried to download an updated Driver, but cannot open file-

Any suggestions?

Hi there,

what i can understand is that previously you were using a monitor which had speakers integrated in it,

now you just have to plug the sound cable from your sound card to your new monitor to enable the sound.
