Hello,i try to install xp sp2 contains aSATA DRIVER (nlite) on sony PCG-7142L LABTOP when reach where to sellect the HDD directly the blue srenn appear, anyone can direct me how to install xp on this sony labtop

Hello,

You will have to change the BIOS settings, just put it to IDE or ATA mode

Then you can install Windows XP on the laptop

hello, my Bios  version doesn't have the option to change from SATA ,only gives the right to change the date and  boot .

I had the same problem I'm trying to fix but I can't. I heard that you need to download the sata raid driver. I try to look it up in Sony.com or intel.com but no luck. Then I install service pack 3. Man!! I really should got a mac. With a mac you don't have to go throught this shit! Supid bill gates. Good luck. And if you resolve can you helpnme too. Thanks
