Hard didk not found

Hello,
i am using hp c500 laptop and i am facing a problem,,, windows has suddenly corrupted and unable to install xp again..
during installation it shows HARD DISK FAILURE.. this is not the first time this is the third time happening to me ...plz get me a solution..

hi there,

you need to disable sata in bios

save and exit and boot from installation cd
