Potable HDD is not detected

Hello,
The other day my hard drive was working fine but then the next time i plug it in it did not pick up..If my hard disk is out of order, can i at least recover my data from it?....

Ive try doin both what u hv said..changin the cables and also the casin but it says that one of the USB device connected maybe mulfuntioned..sumthin like that poped up..

hi there,

try changing the data cable

if still not connecting then use another external casing

and transfer the har disk

Hello,

I downloaded XvideoServiceThief but I do not see evidence that it has downloaded or I do not know how to activate it - I have been trying for the last 2 hours and I getting thoroughly fraustrated - can someone help with clear instructions on either, 1) how to download properly, 2) alternatively how to activate if the download happened properly. The download does not suggest whether it has been successful - please help

System Configuration: Windows / Chrome 57.0.2987.133

USB HDD's are not recognised on new computer

My USB HDD's are not recognized on new laptop although they work well on my other laptop and PC. This is true for both mains powered and USB powered hard disk drives. The external drives do not appear in Device Manager (Windows 8.1) but a sound is made by the PC when a connection is made. Note USB flash drives work on all ports.
What should I do to rectify the problem?

Hi I recently moved all the stuffs of my computer into another one and now I cant use the usb port in the front panel any idea guys? Before I moved all the front usb panel was working fine and now isn't working..
