Do NOT try to fix this yourself. You can destroy your files if you don't know what your are doing.
Find a local file recovery service and send them your hard drive. It will be VERY expensive but it should be successful.
Good Luck. Next time keep current backups on two computers or email yourself a copy of your project every day to two.
