Reinstalling windows xp home edition

Hello, my brother somehow managed to deleted windows from his computor. he put disk in to reinstall it - won't do anything - keeps getting message "can not copy hraidsk1. help pls

at what point does it display this message?

Does he have a RAID disk setup? If so he will need to install the raid drivers via floppy disk at the XP prompt.
