Windows Vista

so i have a laptop that came with windows vista home premium but the os was uninstalled cuz it just boots to a black screen when i try the restore disks it says "loading windows files" then it loads but stays on a black screen then doesnt do anything so i was thinking of buying a windows home premium upgrade disk to reload my os would that work

Hi,
What you must search is for a bootable cd of windows and install a fresh copy.
