Sat hdd not detecting inbios

Hello,
I purchased asata hdd . My motherboard has the sata ports my old hdd was ide, i have installed the new sata hdd butis recognised in bios but in the boot sequence the drive is not detected. Please help I have never converterd from ide to sata. Thanks in advance.

Hello Sir

You will have to activate the sata mode on your bios settings, then your SATA hard drive will be detected

Just try to look for SATA configuration on your bios
