Installing windows visa on my desktop
Closed
Hello,
I am trying to load a newly purchased Windows Vista on a computer which currently has Windows XP on it. I am not able to read anything from the CD drive. I think there are no drivers for some reason. If I need to put drivers in order to download the new Vista, how do I do this if the CD drive will not oparate? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Vista disk is a DVD not a CD. Could this be the problem?
No, I have tried both drives, it is not reading from either. If it is a drivers issue with the DVD or CD drives, I am not able to download drivers for them either. I just really wanted to download a new version of Vista. I tried to restore the system, but this does not help either. Thanks again for your help and I hope you have another solution for me.
