Generally it resume from stand by due to mouse or keyboard activity, from experience i know that some mouse are sensible from inteference you can see the pointer move or shake on the screen by itself, this could be a reason why it resume from stand by

I have disconnected the mouse and also disabled all the network connections but the problem is pursuing.

Have you checked for background programs that may interfere with the stand-by?
Alt, ctrl. del to get the task manager and then go to Processes to have a look at the running programs
