is this perfect no secure network within your premises or are you piggy backing off some one who has left their wireless insecure?
if it's the latter then you need to know the network ip address and subnet mask of the wirless connection you are trying to connect to. if it is not the standard default ip address then that may be the problem.
once that is established you can set your equipment to the same net and mask.
