Hello,
I've connected a WD IDE hard drive (pulled out of my old computer) via USB to my Vista 64 bit system. First time, new hardware was recognized and drivers installed, but drive does not show up on Device Mgr on anywhere on my system. Ive disconnedted and reconnected, but now have no acknowledgment of new hardware. I'm aware that the jumper needs to be set correctly (not sure which setting). Any help would be appreciated

hi there,
when connected from external by usb
you need to move the jumper to master
then check in disk management
if its in raw format
then you will have to create a new partition or drive
Thanks
