Problem with installation of exe files

Hello,
sir/madam please help me if u can, i am having problem with my laptop, the problem is when iam trying to install any exe file it shows error box in which the error contains invalid directory name. what should i do to solve this problem? plz give some solution. thank you

This problem can be solved i’ll show you how:


Right click on the .exe file you are trying to run then select, properties
In Start in, change value from %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% to a system-wide value such as %WINDIR%.

Then Click on OK

You can manually change the directory name and set it in your C:/Program Files.

this problem started only before 4 days and i am not finding any value as u said in the answer. is there any other way. the error message is directory name is invalid. it is for only exe files other files are installing.
