No Internet SoundClosed

Question

Hello,

I have tried everything; including downloading new drivers; upgrading to the Service Pack; I just tried the fix that was discribed at the top of this forum string but I get an error message saying the string is not valid.  If anyone can help I would greating appreciate it.  I can listen to sound from DVDs but nothing on the internet, YouTube, etc.  It worked fine for several years up to a few months ago.

Dear cathy,

This is a simple problem,

In your volume settings, click in the tiny speaker icon your taskbar!

Click on Mixer, 

Locate your browser's volume settings, just put the volume to high or check if it's on mute

Then close the window,

Now you will be hearing sounds from your browser
