Hello,
I am having a problem in pen drive.. i am not able to format my pen drive form the i bought.. its giving an error as WINDOWS WAS UNABLE TO FORMAT THE DRIVE... Pls can any one give me a reason..

if its still new then

return it to the seller

may be its a defective one

Hello,

I have a 500GB Western Digital usb mass storage device with lots of data on it, and I have been using it without problems for several months. Now when I plug it in, the drive comes up in my computer as drive E as it usually does, but when I click it it asks me if I want to format it-when I click "no" I can't access the drive. If I format it again won't I lose all my files? The drive properties show 0kb for free space and 0kb for used space. What happened to the 300+ GB of files I stored on the drive? Is there another way to access the data on the drive? Thanks in advance for the help!

hi,i have a problem with my Kingston 16GB usb flash drive,which is all the data I store on the flash drive cant be read!, I mean I put the data on the flash drive,safe remove it,then when I plug it in again I find all files are 0 bytes,although the same capacity of the files I put is taken,put I cant open the files,i tried formatting many times,but still didnt work,plz help guys..


The drive properties show:
Type: Removable Disk
File system: Unknown
Used space 0 bytes
Free space 0 bytes
Capacity 0 bytes

The Volumes tab shows:
Type: Removable
Status: No Media
Partition style: Not Applic...
