Black screen

Hello,
I turn on my system and it says f2 or f12 so then I click on one and it goes black,click on the other and same thing happens.I can click on ctrl,delete,alt and I get a Grey screen that gives me things like computer security. I was able to test it and it says error 0f00:133d. That I need to reload my root disk.I don't have a root disk. How can I back date to another date to fix what ever this is. I did just install Kaspersky about 1 month ago but I haven't had any problems, till yesterday. If I was to re-install windows XP would I loose my photos and stuff? Would it fix the problem? I cant see anything on the screen to even go to Windows or start or anything just those 2 pages. Any advice sure would appreciate it.
