I can't uninstall Windows live

I'm trying to uninstall windows live.
I know how to remove items from my computer and everything but when i go to my control panel and try to remove it, it does nothing. I was able to remove other items, just not windows live.
I really don't want to restore my computer because i just did the other day..
But if i try to use my messenger, it wont even pop up... help? ];
