Outlook 2007 problem Closed

Hello,
I just got Outlook 2007 and configured it to work with Gmail, when i tried to get my messages from the server Outlook retrieved ALL the messages from there (up to 500) and i just want to be able to download the unread or new ones only. I read a similar thread about Yahoo mail, how can you fix this for gmail?

You should the particular messages that you want to retrieve by selecting them manually.
