Keyboard ribbon

Hello, can anyone tell me if you can add another bit on to a ribbon or a conection to add an extra bit 0n to the ribbon so that it wiil work on a laptop,as i got another keyboard for my laptop but the ribbon is about half an inch short,the key board works fine but does not fit into the laptop please help dont want to get another keyboard many thanks
