Hello,

My Windows XP not recognize any memory devices (installed on my notebook Acer 4720), like pen drives, memory cards, etc... I tried a lot of things to solve this problem. Can somebody there help me?

Thanks!

Hi,
I had the exact same problem... the following worked for me (hope it helps you):

1. Unplug all your other usb devices (try all except keyboard and mouse).
2. Restart computer
3. Insert USB drive and see if it's working

That's it... and it kept working after I reconnected the other devices. But swap the USB ports - i.e. don't plug the same devices back in the same places.

Seems crazy, but this problem was driving me insane and the fix was so simple.

By the way, I think the device causing me grief was a DLink usb wireless network device. Fine after I moved it to a different port.

Good luck,
Robert
