Sound drivers problem

Hello,

i am using compaq laptop , recently i formated my system and loaded xp , version2002, sp3. after that iam unable to play any audio of video files , it saying that no sound drivers installed. iam unable get out of this . Could any one please show me the way to clear my problem

hi there,

after a format you need to install the drivers

for all hardware found on the system

use your driver cd which came with during purchase
