Not able to load windows xp in compaq 610

Hello,
I am not able to load win xp in compaq 610 note book model :delphi model no :d40 ple can you help me?

diable sata native mode in bios setup and install xp its will work

Thanks for you solution. Now I installed the Win Xp.


Can I Enable the sata native option in BIOS after the intallation ?

No you cannot re-enable sata native mode after XP install (it will blue screen during boot). There doesnt appear to be a SATA driver released for 610 XP yet, so we will have to do without.

in such laptops window7 is loading with out any issues. othe wise get the sata driver first and then press f2 when prompted to install any additional sata drivers
