Pny memory card writing protect

Hello,
my name is brittany...i just got a memory card yesterday and i put music on it..everything was fine..today i put it back in my compter and for sum reason its talking about a writing protect on it and to take it off..i was thinking ok maybe there is a viris on my driver and there is not..so i took out the card and slide the lock bar up and down thinking this could do it but its still acting stupied...now i wood hate to thow it away cuz i do have some pictures in there i wanna keep..can any one help me please and hurry ??????
