i had this problem to .
but instead of deleting i quarantine them instead .
then when i restarted same thing like your prob it would freeze up .
so i just took the files that i quarantine and restored them and it stopped messing up .
then i reran the virus scan and double read what it was trying to delete .
or rather what it picked up .
it so happened to be some of my windows items that it quarantined .
solved my problem maybe it well help you .
