Wireless problems

Hello,
Just got a LG X120 netbook, I can't get it to hook up wirelessly to my security-enabled system.
I have a Wii and 2nd computer already working fine. This is my first laptop and it is detecting
the network. Any ideas??? Have tried all enabling switches I can find. Thanx
