I cannot get sound!

Hello,
i cannot get sound if i am listening to something with my speakers and i plug in my headphones. i know my headphones are fine because i listen to my ipod daily with them but ever since i changed the volume thing this has been happening! please help me:)

hi there,

dole click or roght click on the sound icon on taskbar

raise the volume level or unmute it

you should get the sound

it is not like that...i changes the settings on it unknowingly and i cant change them back, it says my headphones are my "default"?
