Hello,

I have a Kingston 4G flash disk that is hiding 2G space. Going to properties for the device shows 1.84G used and 1.88G free. When I format the flash I format only the free 1.88G space the other partition is not accessible. I tried to use PTEDIT32.exe and changed the table on line 1 using 0B,00,0,1,1,487,254,63,0,7847873. The two partitions still exist. What is occupying the used space. Is it a virus which cannot be formatted? The other troubling issue is the free 1.88G. When I save files to it close to 1.8G, ejecting the flash and reconnecting it. I find that three quarters of my files are not visible but instead an empty folder or a dos file with 0Kb is attached with the remaining files on the free space. The dos file is hidding my files. How do I fix this or any antivirus/tools which you know I can use to clean up my computer and flash. I use AVG and it is not picking an infection. Can any guru please help.
