Connecting my Laptop to my T.V.Closed

Hello,
I'm trying to plug my "Dell Intel Core 2 Duo" into my "RCA 32" Flat screen T.V. I have the cords hooked up in the correct spots, and it has previously worked the last million times I've tried, and all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore. My T.V. says "Unusable Signal". COuld someone please help me out
