thanks for your reply I know very little tech info what I have done so far is check all connections ..ok stop and start computer several times .. no input .. there is power to screen , mouse and keyboard computer wil not boot. just the sign on screen no input and goes to sleep .. there is a noise coming from computer that is louder than normal and seems faster than usual this noise has been present intermittently over a period of time .,, the computer has been getting slower and slower to startup over a period of time lately have been putting this down to needing more ram which is a common suggestion for this computer model wil be grateful of futher suggestions so I can learn more ..and how to go about it ..
