Dellstudio vista black screen on boot

Hello,

My dell studio 1535 boots to a black screen w/out curser. the lights run along the dec and the hard drive light goes like normal, but nothing on the screen. I tried ctrl-atl-del with no luck. I put the vista os disk in the drive and it acted like it was loading, however still black screen. Now the disk is stuck in computer becasue of how you eject the disk is thru commands. Tried shutting down and rebooting sveral time still at the same point. During start up the computer does make the normal sounds.
