Hello,
My Dell laptop displays a blank screen (aside from the flashing cursor). I thought I had lost the OS and tried to reload XP but I only get the flashing cursor. It's an older computer but adequate for school. What happened and how can I fix it?

Does it display the Dell logo while starting to boot?
